In Loving Memory of Academician Frank H. S. Shu (1943–2023)
Academician Frank Shu, the late Distinguished Research Fellow of the ASIAA, a key driving force in establishing the Institute, and an important inspiration to the CHARMS project, passed away on April 22, 2023. ASIAA established a memorial webpage with a mourning wall and collections of his inspirational speeches and interviews. ASIAA also held a memorial on June 30, 2023, to honor his significant contributions to the international astronomical community and the Institute. A video directed by Dr. Hsien Shang, in loving memory of Frank Shu and celebrating his life and career, was released and performed on the memorial.
